Kia Motors India, the South Korean auto maker is starting the year 2020 by introducing a brand new high profile car called Kia Carnival. Kia Carnival is an MPV (Multi-purpose Vehicle) which is premium and gets cutting edge “extravagant” features. The all new Carnival is the second product by Kia Motors India, after a very successful start with its landmark debut product Seltos.
The Seltos has created a niche by itself and Kia now wants to leverage it with the introduction of Carnival. Toyota has been leading the MPV segment from quite a long time with its “Innova” / “Innova Crysta”. The introduction of Carnival might give a strong competition to Toyota’s Innova Crysta which currently dominates the MPV market in India.

As seen in the above picture, the all new Kia Carnival features One Touch Power Sliding Rear Doors – This gives access to Carnival’s second row seats with just a touch of a button. This is one prominent feature present in Kia Carnival which is absent in Toyota Innova Crysta.

The Carnival offers 8-speaker sound system by Harman-Kardon for an immersive and extravagant surround sound experience. One can independently adjust the AC and airflow using Tri-zone automatic temperature control present in Kia Carnival.
Kia Carnival Sunroof (Dual-Panel), LED Headlamps, Power tailgate
Kia Carnival MPV offers dual panel sunroof system that allows passengers in all the row to experience the sky by sitting with comfort. The Carnival offer smart power tailgate which opens up the boot using Smart Key without any manual actions – it just automagically happens. The car also features signature tiger nose grille, LED tail lamps, LED headlamps with ice cube fog lamps.
Kia Carnival Six Airbags, 8-Speed Automatic Transmission, 2.2 Litre Diesel Engine
The all new Kia Carnival MPV offers 6 safety airbags that shields you from any impact when you meet an accident. Just not the driver safety, the 6 airbags protects all the co-passengers as the car is equipped with driver, passenger, side and curtain airbags.
The Kia Carnival is powered by 2.2 litre diesel engine which churns out 200 PS of power and 440 Nm of torque. The Kia Carnival Engine is BS6 compliant and is mated to 8-speed automatic transmission. One can have superior driving experience without worrying about clutch and changing gears.
Kia Carnival Parking Sensors, Hill Start Assist Control, ESC
The Carnival MPV from Kia Motors India gets both front and rear parking sensors that helps you address any parking or manoeuvring issue on narrow roads. The hill start assist in Kia Carnival helps the car from rolling back during a uphill climb. The Electronic Stability Control (ESC) helps in controlling brake pressure in situations like sudden acceleration, braking or turns.

The all new Kia Carnival offers electronic parking brake which can be engaged and dis-engaged with just a touch of a button. The car offers wireless charging pad in the front where a compatible phone can be charged. The Carnival offers 37 smart connected features through Kia UVO app. At the driver side, the 8 inch connected HD Touchscreen offers great experience to the driver- as if sitting in a aircraft cockpit.
Kia Carnival Variants and Trims
Essentially, Kia Carnival is offered in three different trim levels with a customizable seating options.
- Premium (7 Seater or 8 Seater)
- Prestige (7 Seater or 9 Seater)
- Limousine (7 Seater)

Kia Carnival Dimensions, Boot Space, Fuel Tank Capacity
The all new Kia Carnival measures 5115mm in length – it is definitely a long car. The wheelbase distance of the Carnival is 3060mm. The car measures 1985mm in width and 1755mm in height.
Carnival features a very large boot space of 540 Litres, and has a fuel tank capacity of 60 litres.
