Automobili Lamborghini has registered an impressive 11 percentage half-yearly sales growth delivering 2,327 vehicles between the period of January and June 2018. This figures only include the Huracan and Aventador, since their new sensation, the Urus, will start delivery this month. For the matter of fact, Lamborghini has sold more vehicles in the first six months of this year than it did in the entire year in 2013.
The 11 percent increase was mostly contributed by the Huracan, which attracted 1,604 buyers, 204 more compared to the same period in the previous year. Aventador accounted for 673 of the cars sold. The USA stood to be the largest single market for the Italian carmaker, followed by Japan and the United Kingdom. The European sales witnessed a growth of 30 per cent with markets like Italy, UK and Austria recording the highest growth rate.
Commenting on the sales achievement, Stefano Domenicali, chairman and chief executive officer of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., said,
“Lamborghini continues to be in a consistently good shape. Delivering another new all-time high, for the fourth consecutive half year, confirms the sustainability of our brand, product, and commercial strategy. The success is all the more remarkable as we master the unprecedented double challenge of creating new models in our super sports car range, while simultaneously ramping up the production of our highly acclaimed super SUV Urus. This quantum leap in the longstanding history of Lamborghini is only possible due to the passion, dedication and competence of our unrivaled team”.
