Mahindra & Mahindra, the world’s largest tractor manufacturer by volume, reinforced its commitment to sustainable agriculture by showcasing a comprehensive range of alternate fuel tractors and technologies at Agrovision 2025 in Nagpur.
The event was graced by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Cabinet Minister of Road Transport and Highways, and Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Cabinet Minister for Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare.

Mahindra’s showcase highlighted three pioneering technologies developed at the Mahindra Research Valley (MRV) in Chennai, positioning the company at the forefront of India’s farm mechanization evolution.
1. CNG/CBG Tractor
Built on the popular Yuvo Tech+ platform, this tractor offers versatility by running on both Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Compressed Biogas (CBG), as well as duel fuel (Diesel-CNG).

2. Electric Tractor (OJA Platform)
Mahindra introduced its electric tractor built on the global lightweight OJA platform.

3. Ethanol Flex Fuel Engine

- Source: The fuel can be derived from agricultural sources like sugarcane, maize, and crop waste, directly benefiting the farming ecosystem and aligning with the government’s vision for energy self-reliance.
