Maruti Suzuki India Limited has unveiled a comprehensive electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem with the launch of its end-to-end digital platform, “e for me”. This historic move is designed to address EV charging anxiety and boost customer confidence ahead of the launch of its first electric vehicle, the e VITARA.
The company has signed collaboration agreements with 13 leading Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and aggregators to create a unified charging network accessible through a single mobile application.

A Robust Charging Network
Maruti Suzuki has established a vast infrastructure to support EV owners across the country.
- Exclusive Network: Over 2,000 exclusive charging points have been set up across the company’s sales and service network, spanning more than 1,100 cities.

- Future Goals: The company aims to enable over 1,00,000 public charging points by 2030 in partnership with dealers and CPOs.
The “e for me” App: One-Stop Solution
The “e for me” mobile app serves as the central hub for EV owners, offering a seamless customer journey from booking to daily usage.
- Locate & Pay: Users can find, pay for, and use EV charging points from both Maruti Suzuki and partner networks directly through the app.
- Home Charging: The app allows users to set up, remotely start/stop, and manage the power output of their smart home chargers.

- Unified Payment: Payments can be made via UPI or the exclusive ‘Maruti Suzuki Money’ wallet powered by Razorpay.
Pan-India ‘e drive’ Flagged Off
To demonstrate the readiness of this charging network, Maruti Suzuki flagged off a pan-India ‘e drive’. Four e VITARA SUVs began their journey from Gurugram to the four corners of India: Srinagar (North), Kanyakumari (South), Bhuj (West), and Dibrugarh (East). This drive aims to validate the real-world feasibility of EV ownership and charging across diverse terrains and conditions.
EV Readiness and Workforce
Maruti Suzuki has also prepared its service infrastructure for the electric transition.
- EV-Ready Workshops: Over 1,500 service workshops across 1,100 cities have been upgraded to handle electric vehicles.
