Maruti Suzuki has kept very high hopes from the sub 4-metre SUV( Sports Utility Vehicle) and as per the report by ETAuto Maruti Suzuki has targeted the sales of more than 10,000 units per month.
The report from ETAuto adds to the point that Maruti Vitara Brezza initially would be launched with just 1.3 litre DDIS diesel engine and there is going to be no petrol option at all. Of course, Maruti Suzuki would be definitely looking to manufacture compact SUV with 1.5 litre M series petrol engine, but which is targeted to only Indonesian market.
Some of the other automotive portals have reported that Fiat-sourced diesel engine would be present in a more powerful 90 PS trim with a variable geometry turbocharger. The 75 PS FGT may or may not be offered at first. Maruti Suzuki might not introduce a petrol variant in the future if there is going to be any demand and the engine of choice may be 1.2 liter K-series engine or the 1.0 turbocharged unit which will go to Maruti Baleno shortly.
With Vitara Brezza, Maruti Suzuki is does showing some confidence by being the winner at hand and the number 10,000 units is going to to be a real task.
