India’s No. 1 carmaker has sold a total of 161,497 units, attaining growth of 26 percent compared to May 2017 with a sales figure of 130,248 units . Maruti Suzuki looks very confident to achieve its target of reaching 2 million annual sales by 2020.
Maruti’s growth is mainly because four major cars from the Maruti line up namely

- Maruti Beleno
- Maruti vitara Brezza
- Maruti Swift
Maruti Dzire
Maruti Dzire is based on the 5th gen HEARTECT lightweight platform derived from the Maruti Baleno and the fourth-gen Swift . Maruti Dzire gets two engine options a 82hp, 1.2-litre petrol engine or a 73 hp 1.3-litre diesel engine . Maruti Dzire is one of the best seller in the compact sadan segment fighting with rivals like the newly launched honda amaze . This little car has won the heart of Indian customer by its value for money and reliability . Maruti sold about 24,365 units in may 2018 which is a great leap from just 9,413 units of may 2017 achieving a growth of 159% . This wooping sales figure has helped Maruti achieve thier overall sales growth of 26 % . The Maruti Dzire is priced between Rs 5.56 lakh and Rs 9.43 lakh (ex- showroom)

Maruti Baleno
The Maruti Baleno has been a successful car for the manufacturer since it was launched back in 2015 . For 2018 Baleno impresses again with its numbers and sells more than the newly launched Swift . Baleno has seen a growth of 33% this year ,selling 19,398 units for may 2018 compare to 14,629 in may 2017 . The Baleno is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.3-litre diesel engine that generate 84hp/115Nm and 75hp/190Nm respectively. Both the engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. However, the petrol engine is also available with a CVT gearbox. Fuel efficiency figures for the Baleno stand at 21.4kmpl and 27.39kmpl for petrol and diesel respectively. It is available at a starting price of Rs 5.35 lakh for the petrol and 6.51 lakh for the diesel variant. The top variants are priced at Rs 8.40 lakh and 8.49 lakh respectively.

Maruti Vitara Brezza
The Vitara Brezza compact SUV, which has been leading the charge of driving the company’s growth in the UV segment . Brezza was successful this year contributing a growth of 26% . It sold 15,629 units in may 2018 which is roughly 3000 units more compare to 12,375 of may 2017 . Maruti has updated the suv with a new Orange paint scheme, blackened alloy wheels, and the option of an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) in its mid- and top-spec trims.

Maruti swift
Maruti Suzuki launched the Swift in India in 2005. In its 12 years in the country, the Swift has remained the preferred choice in its segment . With newer generation it gets more exciting and remains one of the favourite cars on Indian roads . Within two months of its launch, the new Swift has breached the milestone figure of 1 lakh bookings in India . For 2018 Maruti sold 16% more with a sales figure of 19,208 in may 2018 it is still among the best sellers in the country . The Swift 2018 is priced in the range of Rs 4.99 lakh – Rs 8.29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
