Maserati Lavente SUV unveiled; Might launch in India too
Think about a luxury car manufacturer revealing a new SUV. The Italian car manufacturer, Maserati is now planning to include SUVs in their family of already existing luxury sedans and performance cars. The car maker has now officially unveiled the new luxury SUV by officially launching the images of the car. The much anticipated sports utility vehicle carrying the name Levante is just about the right product that could help the company generate a good amount of volume in the international SUV market.

When it comes to the design of Maserati Levante, the car is pretty smart looking vehicle. The front end features Maserati’s signature grille with vertical chrome slats. The bumper of the car looks muscular with sporty air dams, high placed round fog lamps, and the sharp headlights look even more killer. A sloping roofline adds on to the sportiness other than the cool looking set of alloy wheels. Same goes for the rear profile as well. The roof mounted spoiler has cut outs, giving a unique look. Those quad exhaust pipes and tail lamps seem to take inspiration from the GranTourismo. Unfortunately, no details regarding the interior has been revealed as of now.`
Under the hood, this upcoming car from Maserati is powered by 3.0-litre V6 petrol as well as diesel engines. The petrol engine of the new Levante SUV would be made available in 2 different states of tune – 350 PS of power that can attain a maximum speed of 100 km/hr in just 6.3 seconds and the other form is 450 PS of power with a 0-100 km/hr sprint time of 5.2 seconds.
Both variants of the car is capable of reaching a top speed of 270 kmph. The diesel engine of the car would get a maximum power of 275 PS of power and can attain a maximum power of 0 to 100 km/hr time in just 6.9 seconds and a top speed of 250 kmph.
The new SUV from Maserati is expected to make global debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor show and the company has given a clarification that it would be launching the car in Indian market. The all new Maserati SUV is expected to be priced in the range of INR 1.25 crores (ex-showroom price). The Italian car manufacturer, Maserati can expect few takers for the Maserati Levante here in India – all thanks to the growing popularity of luxury SUVs in India. When launched, The Maserati would take on its rivals like Porsche Cayenne and Porsche Macan among other performance oriented SUVs like the Range Rover Sport, Mercedes-AMG GLE63, BMW X5M as well as the BMW X6M.
