MG (Morris Garages), a British automobile brand with a 100-year-old legacy, today announced that it has inked an MoU with Vertelo, a Macquarie-managed integrated fleet electrification platform, funded by Green Climate Fund. This partnership includes the delivery of 3,000 MG electric vehicles to Vertelo in a phased manner. Focused on providing the sustainable mobility solutions to riders, the partnership will also work towards establishing a robust EV charging infrastructure in the country.

MG India has been instrumental in establishing a robust EV charging infrastructure with its ecosystem partners – Exicom Telesystems, ElectreeFi, EchargerBays, Ionage, Statiq, Epsilon & Highway Delite and deployed 7.4kW chargers, averaging one installation per day, covering approximately 50 major cities. The company is also working closely with Glida, TPCL, BPCL, Jio-bp, Zeon, and ChargeZone for setting up EV charging infrastructure, and with Attero and Lohum for battery recycling, reuse, and life extension. Notably, the recent partnership with Shoonya – Zero Pollution Mobility campaign, led by NITI Aayog, underscores MG Motor India’s commitment to promoting electric vehicles.
