Yamaha SZ-RR now has a sibling, in the form of the SZ-RR 2.0

Motorcycle manufacturing giant Yamaha has recently launched in India, the SZ-RR Version 2.0 motorcycle which is an updated variant of its popular SZ-RR 150CC motorcycle.

Yamaha’s new motorcycle is priced at Rs 66,000 (ex-showroom price Delhi), and the motorbike comes with a 149CC air-cooled engine that is driven by the ‘Blue Core’ technology.

Key technical specifications of Yamaha’s SZ-RR version 2.0 motorcycle:

  • 149CC air-cooled single-cylinder engine.
  • 1,500 RPM and 12.8 Nm torque
  • 5-speed transmission
  • Tubeless tyres
  • New handlebar holder
  • Colour schemes available are Ivory White, Red Dash and Green Arrow
  • Front disc brakes and back drum brakes
  • 14 litre petrol tank
  • Carburettor fuelling mechanism
  • 134kg weight

Currently, the exact mileage offered (or claimed to be offered) by the Yamaha SZ-RR version 2.0 motorcycle is yet to be made official by Yamaha.

Considering the above key technical specifications, it is imperative that the motorcycle is targeted predominantly at the Indian youth who love to go on weekend excursions with friends.

Yamaha SZ-RR 2.0 primarily competes with the Honda Unicorn and Bajaj’s Discover 150 motorbikes.
