- Battery Technology: The S1Z is the first scooter range in India powered by Ola’s indigenous Bharat Cell LFP (lithium iron phosphate) technology. The 46-series cells are developed at the Battery Innovation Centre and manufactured at the Ola Gigafactory.
- Cost Strategy: By developing and manufacturing the LFP chemistry in-house, Ola Electric has significantly lowered battery costs, bringing next-generation battery technology to the mass market at lower price points.
- Software Capabilities: Running on MoveOS 5, the S1Z includes cruise control, advanced regenerative braking, reverse mode, and GPS. It also supports over-the-air (OTA) updates, geo/time/mode fencing, ride statistics, and energy insights via the Ola Electric App.
- Maneuverability: The scooter features an “Easy Park” function designed to help riders navigate tight parking spaces with a simple twist of the wrist.
- Hardware & Colors: All variants are equipped with 12-inch wheels and are available in four colors: White, Anthracite, Sky Splash Blue, and Matcha Green.
- Retail Network Expansion: The S1Z will be the first product to ramp up through new dealer-operated stores, expanding Ola’s retail footprint beyond its traditional company-owned network.
