The Madhya Pradesh Government had introduced incentives to all EV owners with subsidies across the EV automobile sector under its EV Policy. Furthermore, with the Auto expo coming in, the state government aims to introduce a fresh set of EV policies to encourage EV adoption. To promote the EV scheme at larger scale in the state, the government is also planning to invite various EV stakeholders such as manufacturers of electric run vehicles, commercial, earth movers and component makers to showcase their new products at the expo. The state is also expected to unveil a new EV policy this year which would streamline electric mobility sector better.
The State Government has also taken a step towards the expansion of EV infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh by starting an inter-city electric bus service from Bhopal to Indore and charging stations have also been setup at both the depots in Indore and Bhopal. The officials look forward to running more than 40 buses on the route.
