In a significant development for India’s luxury automotive market, Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) has officially announced the addition of the iconic British brand, Bentley, to its group portfolio. Effective from July 1, 2025, SAVWIPL will be the exclusive entity for importing, distributing, and servicing Bentley vehicles across the country.
This move marks Bentley as the sixth brand under the SAVWIPL umbrella, deepening the group’s presence in India’s rapidly growing luxury car segment. All operations for the brand will be managed by a newly formed entity named Bentley India, a group company of SAVWIPL.

To lead the brand’s journey in India, Abbey Thomas has been appointed as the Brand Director of Bentley India.
Piyush Arora, Managing Director and CEO of Škoda Auto Volkswagen India, commented on the announcement,
“Welcoming Bentley into the SAVWIPL family is a proud milestone that completes our portfolio — from the precision of German engineering to the timeless elegance and unmatched performance of British craftsmanship. India’s appetite for uncompromising luxury is growing rapidly.” Mr. Arora also highlighted Abbey Thomas’s appointment, stating his “deep understanding of the Indian market makes him the ideal leader to steer Bentley India toward new milestones.”
New Leadership and Retail Network
Under the new structure, Bentley India will oversee the brand’s strategy and establish a new retail network. The first dealer partners have been confirmed for key metropolitan cities, starting with Bengaluru and Mumbai, with a showroom in New Delhi set to follow. These new showrooms will offer the signature Bentley experience of performance, craftsmanship, and luxury to India’s ultra-high-net-worth customers.
Jan Bures, Executive Director of Sales, Marketing and Digital at SAVWIPL, added, “The ever-growing UHNI segment in India will benefit from this new association, and we, along with our new dealer partners, will ensure the best of luxury and performance for our customers.”
This integration into the SAVWIPL framework is set to sharpen Bentley’s market focus and assure customers of world-class standards throughout their ownership journey.
