Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation registered an overall sales figure of 63,912 units in December 2022. The company sold 40,905 units in the domestic market and exported 23,007 units in December 2022.
Commenting on the sales performance, Mr. Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd. said,
“In December 2022, we recorded an overall sale of 63,912 units, which translated to a tremendous year-on-year monthly growth of 25 % as compared to the same month last year. We are also pleased to inform you that in December 2022, the company exported 23,007 units from India. This is the highest ever monthly export sales reported by the company till date.”
Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd. launched the All New Burgman Street EX in December 2022. The All New 125cc premium scooter is armed with the Brand New Suzuki Eco Performance Alpha (SEP-α) engine, Engine Auto Stop- Start (EASS) system and Silent Starter System.
The company has been steadily consolidating the scooter segment too with four products in their portfolio currently. This includes Suzuki Access 125, Suzuki Avenis, Suzuki Burgman Street and Suzuki Burgman Street EX.
This month also saw the company organizing Hayabusa Day, an experiential Ride-out for the Suzuki Hayabusa owners in India. The day honors the passion and spirit of owning and riding the Suzuki Hayabusa.
