Suzuki GSX-R 125 unveiled at INTERMOT 2016
Suzuki surprised everyone by unveiling their lightest bike yet, the Suzuki GSX-R 125 at the INTERMOT motorcycle show in Germany. Suzuki has got us their Gixxer and the Gixxer SF which witnessed great success here in India and now Suzuki has upped the ante by unveiling the GSX-R 125. The GSX-R 125 is based on the GSX-R 1000 by Suzuki which was showcased along side the newest baby from Suzuki.
GSX-R 125 gets key less entry and LED headlamps. It also gets ABS for safety purposes along with LED tail lamps. The bike features all digital instrument cluster similar to the Gixxer and the styling is sharp and sporty which is based on its elder cousin, GSX-R 1000. Interesting feature on the GSX-R 125 is the “answer-back function“. Just pressing a button on the key will make the indicators of the bike start blinking and help you spot it easily.
Suzuki hasn’t revealed the power figures of the bike for now. We can see it gets petal disc brakes in the front with ABS. We expect the bike to be really light and take on the KTM RC-125 and Yamaha YZF R-125 in the European market. We are not sure of this bike coming to India as we already have the Gixxer SF here in India. We do know that the Gixxer 250cc is on the way to make its debut in India.
