The all new Honda Civic for India is coming soon
Honda’s longest selling automotive nameplate, Honda civic for India is all set to make a comeback after a span of nearly six years. The all new Honda Civic for India will fill the gap between the new Honda City and the Honda Accord Hybrid as part of Honda’s plan to refocus on the premium segments .
The company’s website further confirms that the new Honda Civic will be launched in India in late 2018. Honda has not revealed any specs of the India based model but they should not differ significantly with the European figures that have been announced recently.
Engine & Transmission
we expect it to offer same engine options as a 1.5 litre turbo diesel along with 2.0 litre normally aspirated petrol and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol. Petrol motor is likely to offer a choice of 6 speed manual and CVT transmission.
Other contestants
once the all new Honda Civic hit the Indian shores ,we can expect the age-old rivalry in the premium sadan segment between the Toyota Corolla Altis (Rs 16.27-20.01 lakh) as well as others like the Skoda Octavia (Rs 16.03-24.49 lakh) and the Hyundai Elantra (Rs 13.29-19.34 lakh).
2018 Honda Civic Price
Honda Civic will be priced anywhere around Rs 15 to 18 lakh for the manual transmission versions and the automatic transmission version would cost around Rs. 20 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi)
