Volkswagen Beetle India launch on December 19
We had earlier reported that Volkswagen Beetle would be coming back to India. The German auto-maker, Volkswagen has also launched a website called bookmybeetle.in where one could directly book the Beetle by visiting the website. Sources have revealed that the style-icon Beetle is going to be launched in India on 19th of December, 2015.
Under the hood, the all new-Beetle from Volkswagen is going to be powered by 1.4 litre turbocharged TSI petrol engine and will be mated to a 7-speed DSG gearbox. This Volkswagen car is going to be fully loaded with best-in-class features and also will be sporting a panoramic sunroof. The Beetle would also be getting the special chrome detailing packages available for both interiors and exteriors. Also, the Beetle’s cabin will be upholstered in leather. The new Volkswagen Beetle also continues to be in the same illustrious tradition, with the lines merely being tightened up visually, without disturbing the overall look and feel of the car.
The Beetle car from Volkswagen has also grown a size which is larger than its earlier version and also has a pretty lower ground clearance. The bumpers of the Beetle are squared off where as the roof-line of the car is slightly raked. An integrated spoiler and larger wheel sizes round off the muscular look and should go down well with customers.
Volkswagen is taking the CBU route for the Beetle into India and the pricing is expected to be in the range of INR 30 lakhs. The Beetle will be available in four different color shades:- Habanero Orange, Onyx White, Silk Blue and Tornado Red.
