Yamaha, considered as one of the most important motorbikes manufacturer throughout the world, has now launched the SR400 high-end motorcycle in the United States and the United Kingdom, with an India launch to follow soon after. The Yamaha SR400 looks classic and slim.
Yamaha’s SR400 provides good seating comfort and incorporates a good looking outer design. The motorcycle incorporates a 390CC 2-valve air-cooled engine (no specific radiator required).
Yamaha SR400 has 3.2 gallon fuel capacity and millage will be around 66mpg. Generally, old model bikes have the traditional carburettor. But the Yamaha SR400 has a new mikuni fuel injection system.
I think Yamaha SR400 will have a broad appeal, and will potentially attract buyers. I also think that everyone will like this bike, especially the youth who are constantly on the lookout for ‘thrill and adventure’.
Cost of the Yamaha SR400 is $5,990 (Rs 3,80,000 approx.) and it will be available in only a single colour, which is liquid graphite.
Yamaha will launch the SR400 ‘youth-centric’ motorcycle in India, in 2015.
