2017 Maruti Swift Interior Photos Spotted
The Swift hatchback is over a decade old and it has created a history for Maruti Suzuki in India. Swift, although showed a decline in sales after Baleno‘s introduction last year, it has won the hearts and people still prefer owning Swift. Time and again, Maruti Suzuki has been pro-active in updating its Swift model and now the company will be launching the 2017 Maruti Swift.
Outside India, spyshots of Maruti Swift has been captured by Quattroruote – it has revealed the interior of production version of the 2017 Maruti Swift for the very first time. There are changes in exterior as well as interior design. The leaked photos by Quattroruote reveals the interior design which is identical to the one which was already seen in the leaked photos of Swift few months back.
The next generation 2017 Maruti Swift would be featuring a new vibrant design which looks pretty tidy and more contemporary when compared to the existing car model. The all new 2017 Maruti Swift gets a steering wheel which looks sportier and comes with sleek buttons, twin pod instrument dials as well as a large multi-info display ( which is seen in Maruti Baleno), new center console design with circular HVAC vents and new HVAC controls. The prototype version of the car features a 2-DIN audio system, where as the top-end grades of the car are likely to get Maruti Suzuki’s SmartPlay touchscreen system.
There are confirmed reports that the next generation Maruti Swift shall be riding on Maruti Baleno’s lightweight platform. There are also rumors that the kerb weight of the new 2017 Swift will be 50 kgs lesser than the current one. By losing the kerb weight, delivering improved fuel efficiency and offering enhanced handling characteristics, looks like 2017 Maruti Swift is a great package.
Under the hood, the petrol variant of new Swift would be likely getting an updated version of the 1.2 litre, 4 cylinder K-Series petrol engine, where as the diesel variant of the car is reported to get a brand new 1.5 litre engine developed by Maruti Suzuki. The engine will be mated to 5-speed manual transmission gearbox as standard and the car will be also offered in automatic variant.
