Hyundai Motor India Limited has announced the launch of its 6 & 7 seater SUV, the Hyundai ALCAZAR, with a new 1.5 Turbo GDi Petrol Engine. The SUV offers a choice between 7-speed DCT and 6-speed manual transmission options. The ALCAZAR will come in four trim options – Prestige, Platinum, Platinum (O), and Signature (O). The new powertrain is RDE compliant, E20 fuel ready, and will offer the best-in-segment fuel efficiency with maximum power of 117.5 kW and maximum torque of 253 Nm.
2023 Hyundai Alcazar: New Engine and Design
The ALCAZAR will continue to be available with the RDE compliant 1.5 L diesel CRDi engine. As part of the Model Year 2023 (MY’23) introductions, the new 1.5 Turbo GDi Petrol Engine is being offered for thrilling and sporty driving experiences. The new engine offers strong turbo petrol performance and is designed to deliver the best-in-segment fuel efficiency. The SUV also comes with a new front grille design and puddle lamp logo.
2023 Hyundai Alcazar: Transmission and Safety Features
The new 1.5 T-GDi Petrol Engine will be offered with two transmission options – 7DCT and 6MT. Additionally, the MY’23 updates include the integration of ISG (Idle Stop & Go) and Side Airbag & Curtain Airbag as stock fitment across all trims, providing a total of 6-airbags as standard.
