The Press Shop at Hyundai’s manufacturing facility creates the all-new Hyundai VERNA, utilizing smart inspection techniques such as 3D scanning and infra-red camera inspection to ensure the shell conforms to supreme levels of build quality.
Built to Bedazzle
The all-new Hyundai VERNA is constructed on HMIL’s IoT-enabled Body-build line featuring 100% welding automation with over 450 intelligent robots taking care of welding and other intricate manufacturing processes. The manufacturing process also utilizes a real-time vision inspection for door mastic sealers to further enhance the body quality.
To create a magnificent allure, the all-new Hyundai VERNA undergoes a fresh coat in the paint shop using high-throw power 7th generation Electro Deposition coating. With this new sedan, HMIL has also introduced a dual-tone paint coating and premium clear paint, ensuring improved paint durability that perfectly complements the sedan’s evocative design.
Ferocious Is Its DNA
At the heart of the all-new Hyundai VERNA is a powertrain designed to evoke thrilling experiences. The 1.5 Turbo GDi petrol engine is manufactured using high-precision machines in HMIL’s fully automated machining lines. To enhance levels of purity, a special ball milling technology and automatic Borescope inspection process have been implemented. As part of Hyundai’s quality assurance process, the engine endures an array of challenging conditions at our Endurance labs and eco-friendly Cold test beds, without burning fuel.
Uncompromised Quality
The transformation to a futuristic and premium quality car is completed in the hands of HMIL’s skilled craftsmen who complete the masterpiece in the Assembly shop. With an integrated electric tool tightening system that confirms over 700 dynamic joints in a car, the all-new Hyundai VERNA offers assurance of the best quality standards. The all-new Hyundai VERNA will set a new benchmark as the first sedan in this segment to feature Hyundai SmartSense – Level 2 ADAS. And to ensure superior levels of accuracy, we calibrate the camera and radar using Target Board and Doppler Generator. The all-new Hyundai VERNA further undergoes rigorous road test with 15 drive tracks simulating various road driving conditions.
