India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt Ltd. has just announced the launch of the 2023 version of its popular models – the FZS-Fi V4 Deluxe, FZ-X, MT-15 V2 Deluxe, and R15M. The new models come with class-leading features, offering riders a more exciting and thrilling experience on the road.
TCS: The Future of Motorcycling
Leading the charge in the 150 cc class segment, the Yamaha FZS-Fi V4 Deluxe, FZ-X, and MT-15 V2 Deluxe models now come equipped with a Traction Control System (TCS) as a standard feature. The TCS controls the ignition timing and fuel injection volume to adjust engine power output on the fly, preventing excessive slippage and providing efficient power delivery to the wheel. This system is also available on the Yamaha R15M and R15V4.
Speaking on the launch, Mr. Eishin Chihana, Chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group of Companies, said, “As part of our ongoing ‘The Call of the Blue’ brand campaign, Yamaha is committed to introducing exciting features from its global product portfolio in India. The Traction Control System is a prime example of this, offering a new level of excitement and performance to riders in India.”

The FZ-X, on the other hand, comes with TCS, LED flashers, and a brand-new color scheme – Dark Matt Blue with a golden rim. Both models come equipped with a single-channel ABS in the front, a rear disc brake, a multi-function LCD instrument cluster, an LED headlight, and are powered by a reliable 149 cc engine producing 12.4 PS of peak power and 13.3 Nm of torque.
Yamaha R15M and MT-15 V2 Deluxe: Unmatched Performance
The 2023 R15M now features a YZF-R1 inspired colored TFT Meter with a gear shift indicator, track and street mode selector, and LED flashers. The model retains all its previous features and is available in a new Dark Knight color. The MT-15 V2 Deluxe, on the other hand, now comes with dual-channel ABS and LED flashers, and is available in Metallic Black in addition to the existing colors. Both models are powered by Yamaha’s liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve, 155 cc fuel-injected engine and feature a 6-speed gearbox, producing 18.4 PS of power and 14.2 Nm of torque.
A Commitment to Sustainability
Yamaha is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and has introduced the FZS-Fi V4 Deluxe and FZ-X models with E20 fuel compatibility, offering lower emissions without sacrificing performance. By the end of 2023, Yamaha plans to make all its motorcycle models E20 fuel compliant. The 2023 version of Yamaha motorcycles will also be equipped with an on-board diagnostics (OBD-II) system, which will monitor emission levels in real-time, helping to reduce carbon emissions even further.
