Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) today introduced the new OBD2B compliant SP160. Designed for the modern rider, the updated SP160 offers a bold new design along with great performance and hi-tech features to enhance the riding experience. The prices of the new 2025 Honda SP160 start at Rs. 1,21,951, ex-showroom Delhi.

Introducing the updated SP160, Mr. Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said,

“We are ecstatic to announce the launch of the updated new SP160. Within a year of its launch, the SP160 has become very popular among the customers. Now, with the inclusion of an OBD2B-compliant engine and advanced features like a TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity via Honda RoadSync app, the SP160 is ready to enhance the riding experience of our customers.”

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Yogesh Mathur, Director, Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said,

With its modern design, feature-packed technology, and exceptional value, the new SP160 will cater to young, tech-savvy customers who seek both style and functionality. We believe that the launch of the updated SP160 will set new benchmarks in the 160cc premium commuter segment.”

New SP160: Hi-tech features  

Meticulously designed with a blend of sportiness and practicality, the updated SP160 features a striking new LED headlamp. The other stand-out design elements include a muscular fuel tank with sporty shrouds, an aerodynamic undercowl, bold muffler with chrome cover, and LED taillamp. It will be available in two variants, Single Disc and Double Disc, with four colour options – Radiant Red Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, Pearl Deep Ground Gray, and Athletic Blue Metallic.

The new SP160 now features a 4.2-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and Honda RoadSync app compatibility, which provides real-time turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, music playback, and seamless access to key information, making every ride a convenient one for the rider. Moreover, it also gets a USB Type-C charging port to charge smartphone on the go.

Powering the SP160 is a 162.71cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine that is now OBD2B compliant to meet the upcoming government regulations. This motor churns out 9.7 kW of power at 7500 RPM and 14.8 Nm of peak torque at 5250 RPM, paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
