Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced a significant price reduction across its entire passenger vehicle lineup, passing on the full benefits of the recent GST 2.0 reforms to its customers. According to Mr. Unsoo Kim, Managing Director of HMIL, this is a “progressive and far-sighted move” by the Government of India that will not only boost the automotive industry but also empower millions of customers by making personal mobility more affordable. The price reductions range from up to ₹60,640 on the 2025 Hyundai Verna to an impressive ₹2.40 lakh on the 2025 Hyundai Tucson.
Hyundai Models Get More Affordable After GST 2.0
The GST 2.0 reforms have rationalized the tax structure, leading to a reduction in prices for various car segments. Small cars (under 4 meters in length with petrol engines up to 1200cc or diesel engines up to 1500cc) now fall under an 18% GST slab. Larger SUVs and premium sedans are now subject to a flat 40% GST, which is a net reduction from their previous total tax of up to 50%.
