India Yamaha Motor (IYM) today launched the 2025 FZ-X, upgrading the popular motorcycle with its innovative Hybrid Engine Technology. The new model also features a modern Color TFT Meter and a much-awaited Turn-By-Turn (TBT) Navigation system, designed to elevate the premium riding experience.

The new FZ-X Hybrid is priced at
₹1,49,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and comes in a striking new Matte Titan color.
Speaking on the launch, Mr. Itaru Otani, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group, said,
“We were thrilled by the overwhelming response to our Hybrid Technology when we introduced it in the 2025 FZ-S Fi Hybrid. Extending this breakthrough to the FZ-X model felt like a natural next step.”
He added,
“We are confident that adding hybrid power to the FZ-X model will further boost Yamaha’s appeal, particularly among riders who seek a practical yet premium riding experience.”

Smart Hybrid Power and Efficiency
At the heart of the new FZ-X is Yamaha’s advanced Hybrid Engine. This system uses a
Smart Motor Generator (SMG) which ensures quieter engine starts. It also features a
Stop & Start System (SSS) that improves fuel efficiency by automatically shutting off the engine at idle. Furthermore, the hybrid tech provides battery-assisted acceleration for a smoother ride.
Advanced Tech: Color Display and Navigation
A major upgrade for the 2025 model is the new
4.2-inch full-color TFT instrument cluster. This vibrant display connects seamlessly to your smartphone via the
Y-Connect app. The highlight, however, is the integrated
Turn-by-Turn (TBT) navigation, powered by Google Maps. It provides real-time directions, intersection details, and road names right on your screen, ensuring a hassle-free journey.

Options for Every Rider
Yamaha is also offering a choice for its customers. A standard
non-hybrid version of the FZ-X will continue to be available. It is priced at
₹1,29,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and comes in Dark Matte Blue & Metallic Black colors.
Proven Performance and Comfort
The FZ-X is powered by Yamaha’s reliable air-cooled 149cc fuel-injected engine. This 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve motor produces
12.4 PS of peak power at 7,250 rpm and 13.3 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. For rider safety, the bike is equipped with a
Traction Control System (TCS) and single-channel ABS. Ride comfort is handled by a telescopic front suspension and a 7-step adjustable Monocross rear suspension, complemented by a comfortable two-level, slip-resistant seat.
