Kia India Launches MY26 Carens Clavis EV with Enhanced Luxury and Range

Kia India has officially expanded its electric vehicle portfolio with the introduction of the Model Year 2026 (MY26) Carens Clavis EV. This update focuses on elevating passenger comfort and aesthetic appeal, introducing a highly anticipated 6-seater configuration alongside new performance-oriented and rugged design trims.

New Seating and Trim Expansions

The most significant update to the MY26 lineup is the addition of a 6-seater layout featuring second-row captain seats. This configuration is designed to provide a more premium, chauffeur-driven experience by increasing personal space. The 6-seater option is available across multiple trims, including HTX (E), HTX, HTX+, GTX, GTX+, and X-Line.

Kia has also introduced two distinct styling lines for the Extended Range variant:

  • GT-Line (GTX & GTX+): Features a sportier aesthetic with a unique alloy wheel design, lime-colored brake calipers, and metal pedals.
  • X-Line: Offers a rugged appearance highlighted by an exclusive Dark Gun Metal exterior color and Aurora Black Pearl accents.

Battery Performance and Charging

The 2026 Carens Clavis EV continues to offer two battery pack options to suit different driving needs:

  • Extended Range (51.4 kWh): Delivers an ARAI-certified range of 490 km (MIDC Full).
  • Standard Range (42 kWh): Offers an ARAI-certified range of 404 km (MIDC Full).

The vehicle is powered by motors producing 99kW and 126kW, both delivering 255 Nm of torque. Efficiency is complemented by fast-charging capabilities, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 39 minutes.

Technology and Safety Features

The MY26 edition integrates several high-end technology upgrades:

  • Cabin Experience: A 67.62 cm (26.62”) dual panoramic display serves as the centerpiece of the interior, supported by over 85 connected car features.
  • Premium Additions: The lineup now includes a Dual-Pane Panoramic Sunroof, Digital Key functionality, and battery heater technology for optimized performance in varied climates.
  • Safety: The vehicle is equipped with 18 advanced safety features as standard, including six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Hill Start Assist Control (HAC).
