In a press launch event of new TVS iQube ST variant electric scooter in Bengaluru, TVS Motor Company revealed some interesting stats on the sales and charging usage. TVS revealed that it has sold more than 3,00,000 TVS iQube electric scooters since its launch across India and the market has very well accepted their EV product. In Karnataka alone, TVS has 300+ public charging points, 90% of TVS iQube customers charge their EVs at home using the portable charger provided.

TVS is targeting the iQube electric scooter to the young consumers whose age range between 24-34 years. There are more than 118+ connected features offered on TVS iQube and the company plans to charge an yearly subscription fee post 1 year. One can buy an extended 5- year battery warranty or stick to company’s default warranty of 3 years / 30,000 kms. According to TVS, the Electric 2-wheeler industry in India is growing at faster pace and by 2030 it projects 25-30% of 2-wheelers sold in India to go fully electric. The company is not depending on domestic sales alone and is also exporting the scooters to countries like Nepal and Srilanka.

Mr Saurabh Kapoor, VP Marketing of TVS Motor Company and Mr Nikhil Taneja, Head of Sales, TVS Motor Company were present during the showcase of full range of TVS iQube Scooters sold in India which includes 5 different SKUs –

  • TVS iQube 2.2 kWh
  • TVS iQube S 3.4 kWh
  • TVS iQube ST 5.1 kWh
  • TVS iQube ST 3.4 kWh
  • TVS iQube 3.4 kWh

Each of the above product variants have different value propositions revolving around the size of battery (range). The top of the line ST which is offered with 5.1 kWh is priced at Rs 1,85,573 (ex-showroom Bengaluru), claims to offer a whooping 150 kms of real range features a 7 inch touch screen. The more affordable TVS iQube with 2.2 kWh battery gets a lesser range (<80 kms per charge) features a 5-inch color TFT screen and is priced at Rs 94,999 (Introductory price including EMPS subsidy). Press Release: TVS Motor Company Introduces New Variants to the TVS iQube Portfolio in Bengaluru

In line with its commitment towards offering sustainable mobility solutions and enabling customers with the power of choice, TVS Motor Company, a leading global automaker, unveiled its new variant of the TVS iQube with 2.2 kWh battery in Bengaluru. Simultaneously, the company is ready to deliver TVS iQube ST to customers, starting today in the city. The TVS iQube ST will now come in two variants, 3.4 kWh and 5.1 kWh, that being the largest battery pack in the segment. With this, the TVS iQube series now offers an array of five variants available in vibrant 11 colours, making this one of the largest and most attractive EV portfolios in the market.

Choosing a more sustainable and smartly simple way, customers of TVS iQube in Karnataka covered a distance of 380,458,208 kms, saving over 13,000 tonnes worth of carbon emission.
