Royal Enfield posted sales of 72,701 motorcycles in the month of January 2019, against the sales of 77,878 over the same period last year.

Royal Enfield signs an MoU with the Govt. of Tamil Nadu
Royal Enfield signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Tamil Nadu which envisages an aggregate investment of INR 1,500 crores in Tamil Nadu over a period of 5 years beginning May 2016. The investment is proposed to be towards capacity expansion at Royal Enfield’s three existing manufacturing facilities in and around Chennai at Thiruvottiyur, Oragadam and at Vallam Vadagal that are producing motorcycles for India and international markets as also towards setting up of the Technology Centre on the Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR) in Chennai.
Rides and Events
Coastal Trail Ride | (26th January to 7th February 2019)
One of Royal Enfield’s marquee rides, the Coastal Trail returned with its second edition to take motorcycle enthusiasts through lesser-known back roads that line the west coast of India. The ongoing ride witnessed participation by 33 riders from across the country who commenced on the journey from Mumbai on 26 January and will culminate the ride on 7 February 2019 at Kanyakumari. The 12-day ride will traverse through the coastline starting in Maharashtra to Goa, Karnataka, Kerala before concluding in Tamil Nadu.
