Swedish luxury car company Volvo Car India introduced XC90 Excellence Lounge, a unique piece of craftsmanship that gives luxury and comfort a new dimension. The car comes in 3-seater configuration, a first in the SUV segment in India.

Extensive sound insulation allows for a complete relaxed atmosphere and gives a feeling of tranquillity and freshness, thereby reducing stress levels.The owner can stretch their legs and enjoy a first-class lounge experience in fine Nappa leather seat with ventilation and advanced massage functions. The Excellence Touch
XC90 Excellence Lounge retains all XC90 T8 Excellence’s key features on sustainability and safety. It is a plug-in hybrid with capacity to run for up to 40 km in a single charge of the battery. Thereafter, the car automatically changes over to a hybrid mode. Other features of XC90 T8 Excellence like Adaptive Cruise Control, Pilot Assist, 360-degree camera, Collision Mitigation Support, remain in this Excellence Lounge.
Powertrain
The award winning XC90 T8 Excellence Plug-in hybrid powertrain offers three distinct driving modes – Pure, Hybrid and Power. The car is built on Volvo’s Scalable Product Architecture (SPA). The 2.0 litre 4-cylinder petrol engine and a 65 kW electric motor delivers a collective 408hp and 640 Nm torque. The SUV 0-100 kmph in 5.6 seconds.
Sustainable Mobility Solution
The car is in line with Volvo Cars’ commitment toward a sustainable solution and the XC90 T8 Excellence Lounge has only 49g/km CO2 emissions. Volvo Cars has made a unique commitment that from 2019 every new car will be electrified – Mild Hybrid, Full Hybrid or Full Electric.
