Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), the first smart mobility solutions provider and largest exporter in India, has announced the key safety features of the all-new Hyundai VERNA. With a focus on accessibility of advanced safety technology, the all-new Hyundai VERNA comes with 30 standard safety features, including 6 airbags (Driver, Passenger, Curtain and Side) across all trims. The car will also feature Best-in-Segment Hyundai SmartSense with 17 – Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features enabled by front camera, front and rear radar-based functions that work in all weather conditions.
Standard Safety Features
The all-new Hyundai VERNA offers 30 standard safety features that include 6 airbags for all passengers across all trims. Other standard safety features include all 3-point seatbelts for all seats, seat belt reminder for all seats, speed sensing auto door lock, impact sensing auto door unlock, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brake-force Distribution), Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), Headlamp escort function, automatic headlamps, ISOFIX, lane change indicator, burglar alarm, rear defogger, keyless entry, and rear parking sensor.
Hyundai SmartSense – Level 2 ADAS
The all-new Hyundai VERNA offers Best-in-Segment Hyundai SmartSense – Level 2 ADAS features, which includes automated sensing technology with front and rear radars, sensors, and cameras to detect obstacles on the road and initiate corrective action and warnings. This feature offers comprehensive protection during all weather and even foggy driving conditions. The Hyundai SmartSense feature includes driving safety functions such as forward collision warning, forward collision-avoidance assist for cars, pedestrians, cycles, and junction turning, blind-spot collision warning, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, driver attention warning, and safe exit warning. The driving convenience functions include smart cruise control with stop & go, lane following assist, high beam assist, and leading vehicle departure alert. The parking safety functions include rear cross-traffic collision warning and rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist.
