On 30 August 2024, Bajaj Auto organized an exclusive event for media, dealers and customers in Bengaluru introducing the launch of all new Bajaj Freedom 125 CNG motorcycle. This is World’s first ever OEM launched CNG motorcycle
The motorcycle is available for sale immediately in Karnataka. The motorcycle is launched in three variants – The top most trim is priced at Rs 1,10,000 while the base drum variant is priced at Rs 95,000. More than 700-1000 people in Karnataka/Bengaluru have already booked the CNG motorcycle. During the event some of the customers (10 of them) too the delivery on the stage.
The motorcycle weighs about 147 kgs and is slightly more than Platina 125 or other commuter motorcycles. Talking about the mileage or range, the motorcycle is expected to offers 300+ Kms of range. when both CNG fuel tank and petrol tank are full. The maximum capacity of CNG tank is 2 kgs and the petrol tank capacity is 2 litres. The motorcycle offers an “On-The-Go” switch to toggle between petrol and CNG mode.
The motorcycle looks stylish and gets a very long seat compared to other motorcycles in the 125cc segment. The motorcycle also offers digital Speedometer with gear indicator, bluetooth connectivity etc,: Bajaj claims the new CNG motorcycle is highly efficient and running cost is 50% less than petrol-only bikes.
