Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, announces the launch of its OBD-2B compliant scooters – Suzuki Avenis and Suzuki Burgman series (Burgman Street and Burgman Street EX).
With the introduction of the updated Suzuki Avenis and Suzuki Burgman series, SMIPL’s entire portfolio of scooters (Access, Avenis, Burgman Street and Burgman Street EX) and motorcycles (V-Strom, GIXXER SF 250, GIXXER 250, GIXXER SF and GIXXER) are now OBD-2B compliant.
Further delighting the customers, the Suzuki Avenis is now offered in a Special Edition which comes in a new colour combination – Metallic Matte Black No. 2 / Matte Titanium Silver while the Burgman Street EX is now available in the new Metallic Matte Stellar Blue colour in addition to the existing colours available in the market.

Suzuki Avenis, the ultimate street sport scooter, in its new Special Edition with Metallic Matte Black No. 2 / Matte Titanium Silver avatar now features an elegant, black-based colour that complements its bold, street sport appeal.
At the heart of the Suzuki Avenis is an all-aluminium 4 stroke, single cylinder 124.3cc engine that is now OBD-2B compliant. The engine delivers a cleaner, more efficient ride without sacrificing its signature instant pickup and agile handling. It produces 8.7 Ps of power @ 6,750 rpm and 10 Nm of peak torque @ 5,500 rpm. It is also powered by Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology and advanced fuel injection technology, which boasts top-class power, performance, and low fuel consumption.
The OBD-2B Suzuki Avenis is priced at Rs. 93,200/- (ex-showroom Delhi) and offered in four colour options – Glossy Sparkle Black / Pearl Mira Red, Champion Yellow No 2 / Glossy Sparkle Black, Glossy Sparkle Black / Pearl Glacier White and Glossy Sparkle Black.
The OBD-2B Suzuki Avenis Special Edition inMetallic Matte Black No. 2 / Matte Titanium Silver(NEW)colour is available at Rs. 94,000/- (ex-showroom Delhi).
Suzuki Burgman Series (Burgman Street & Burgman Street EX)
A premium urban cruiser, with European-inspired luxury scooter design, the Burgman series is powered by an all-aluminium 4 stroke, single cylinder 124cc engine. The latest update ensures that the Burgman series meet the latest OBD-2B norms, offering riders enhanced efficiency and a smoother riding experience.
Powered by Suzuki Eco Performance (SEP) technology, the Burgman Street gives 8.7 PS of power @ 6,750 rpm and 10 Nm of torque @ 5,500 rpm. On the other hand, the Burgman Street EX comes with Suzuki Eco Performance Alpha (SEP-α) engine technology incorporating Engine Auto Stop-Start (EASS) and Silent Starter System. It produces 8.6 Ps of power @ 6,500 rpm and 10 Nm of peak torque @ 5,500 rpm. Additionally, the 12-inch rear wheel in Burgman Street EX further enhances its look, making it wider, bigger and luxurious.
The Burgman Street EX is now available at a starting price of Rs. 1,16,200/- (ex-showroom Delhi) in three different colour options: Metallic Matte Stellar Blue (New), Metallic Matte Black No. 2, and Metallic Royal Bronze.
The Burgman Street is priced from Rs.95,800/- onwards (ex-showroom Delhi). It is offered in two variants: Standard Edition and Ride Connect, with seven colour options: Metallic Matte Black No. 2 (YKC), Pearl Mirage White, Metallic Matte Titanium Silver, Pearl Matte Shadow Green, Pearl Moon Stone Gray*, Metallic Matte Stellar Blue** and Metallic Matte Black No. 2 (4TX)**.
The updated OBD-2B Suzuki Avenis and Suzuki Burgman series (Burgman Street and Burgman Street EX) are now available at all SMIPL dealerships across India.
