Triumph Motorcycles India has announced a comprehensive price revision across its entire product lineup, effective January 1, 2026. This decision marks the end of a price-stability period where the British marque, in partnership with Bajaj Auto, absorbed significant cost pressures to protect consumers.

Prospective buyers have until December 31, 2025, to secure current ex-showroom rates before the new pricing takes hold across the country.

Why are Triumph Motorcycle Prices Increasing?

The primary driver for this price correction is the impact of GST 2.0, which revised tax slabs for motorcycles with engine capacities above 350cc from 28% to 40%. While this change was introduced earlier in late 2025, Triumph chose to absorb the additional tax burden through the festive season to stimulate demand and support its growing community of riders.

In addition to the tax realignment, the company cited rising input costs and a challenging macroeconomic environment as reasons for the adjustment.

Key Models Affected

The price hike will apply to all models, from the entry-level 400cc range to the flagship high-capacity “big bikes”.

  • 400cc Range: Popular models like the Speed 400, Scrambler 400 X, and the recently launched Speed T4 and Thruxton 400 will see ex-showroom increases of approximately Rs 8,000.
  • Premium & Large Capacity Range: While exact figures for the larger models vary, high-end motorcycles like the Rocket 3, Tiger adventure series, and Bonneville modern classics are expected to reflect a more significant jump in pricing.

Strategic Move for Future Stability

Manik Nangia, President of Probiking at Bajaj Auto Ltd., emphasized that this revision is necessary to maintain Triumph’s commitment to premium product quality and exceptional dealer services.

Rumors also suggest that Triumph may be developing a specialized sub-350cc engine platform for the Indian market to leverage lower GST rates (18%) in the future, though no official timeline has been confirmed.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

When do the new Triumph prices come into effect? The revised prices will be effective starting January 1, 2026.

What is the reason for the 2026 price hike? The increase is due to the new GST 2.0 tax structure for bikes over 350cc, rising production input costs, and broader macroeconomic factors.

Can I still buy a Triumph bike at the old price? Yes, all bookings completed on or before December 31, 2025, will be honored at the current ex-showroom prices.

How much is the price increasing for the Speed 400? The ex-showroom price for the Speed 400 and other 400cc models is expected to rise by approximately Rs 8,000.

Are all Triumph models affected by this increase? Yes, the company has confirmed the price revision will apply across its entire model range in India.

What was the “Special Festive Price” mentioned by Triumph? Triumph offered temporary discounted rates on the Speed 400 and Speed T4 during the late 2025 festive period to shield customers from the initial GST impact.

Will the on-road price also increase? Yes, an increase in ex-showroom price naturally leads to higher insurance and registration costs, with on-road prices expected to jump by Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000 for the 400cc range.

Is there a new 350cc Triumph coming to India? There are reports that Triumph is working on a 350cc engine to qualify for lower tax brackets, with a possible introduction by mid-2026, though this is not yet officially confirmed.
