Ather Energy Limited, India’s leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer, today announced the introduction of its family scooter, the Ather Rizta, in Nepal. This launch marks the next step in Ather’s international expansion strategy, which focuses on strengthening its network and offering a wider range of products to meet the diverse needs of customers in the region. The Rizta will now be available for test rides and purchase at Ather’s Experience Centres in Nepal.

Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy Limited, spoke on the occasion. He said,
“Nepal was our first international market, and over the last two years, we have seen strong consumer interest and a very encouraging response to the Ather 450 series.” He added, “With the launch of the Rizta, we are tapping into a new segment of family buyers who prioritise comfort and convenience in their everyday rides. We are hoping to see the same strong response for the Rizta as we’ve seen for the 450 series”.
A New Family Scooter for Nepal
The Ather Rizta is a convenience-first family scooter designed with a large and comfortable seat. It offers a total storage space of 56L, which includes a 34L under-seat capacity and an optional 22L frunk accessory. The scooter also has a floorboard that provides the rider with ample leg space. Additionally, the Rizta comes with safety features like SkidControl™ to enhance rider safety.

Smart Technology and an Established Ecosystem
The Rizta comes with a 7-inch TFT display dashboard and provides a connected experience with features such as Google Maps navigation, Bluetooth music and call control, all made available with AtherStack™ Pro.
Ather first entered Nepal in November 2023 with the Ather 450 series. Since then, it has opened 9 Experience Centres and 6 Service Centres across the country. To support convenient and reliable EV ownership, Ather has also installed 22 Ather Grid fast chargers in the country. The company’s operations in Nepal are managed by its national distributor, Vaidya Energy Pvt. Ltd.
