Bajaj Pulsar 200 AS is expected to be launched on April 14
Bajaj Auto has started dispatching it upcoming Pulsar 200AS (AS meaning Adventure Sport) to its dealerships, symbolising that the launch of Pulsar 200 AS can happen anytime soon in this month (April).
Mr Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director of Bajaj Auto, speaking to the media revealed that “an all new Pulsar” would be launched on 14th April. We think the bike which Rajiv was mentioning is new Bajaj Pulsar 200AS.
New Pulsar 200 AS is based on Pulsar 200NS model. Pulsar 200 Adventure Sport shall soon join the family that includes the naked 200 NS and RS200 (Racing Sport). Designers at Bajaj have given 200AS an very attractive half fairing with ‘Adventure Sport’ decal with projector headlight and alloy wheels similar to that of its naked version.
Some features like semi-digital instrument cluster, grab rails and also the alloy footrests have been lifted from Bajaj Pulsar 200NS to bring down the development costs involved. Based on the images of 200AS (which were spied), it looks like Pulsar 200AS would definitely not get an ABS system, but surely would carry forward the 280mm front disc and 230mm rear disc from Bajaj Pulsar 200NS.
Technical Specifications of Bajaj Pulsar 200 AS Adventure Sport
Talking about the technical specifications of Pulsar 200AS, the bike would be powered by liquid-cooled 200cc one cylinder engine that churns out a maximum power of 23.52 PS at 9,500 RPM and has a maximum torque of 18.3 Nm at 8,000 rpm.
