CEAT Safety Grip Introduced to make Scooter Riding Safer for Women

In an effort to make Indian roads safer for women scooter riders, leading tyre manufacturer CEAT has introduced the CEAT Safety Grip – a perfect combination of innovation and functionality. Women’s safety is one of the biggest concerns plaguing India and the space is devoid of enough solutions to counter it. By conceptualising CEAT Safety Grip, the company has taken its motto – Making mobility safer and smarter everyday – to a whole new level. CEAT Safety Grip is a customized scooter handle grip which seamlessly conceals a pepper spray in the accelerator throttle for quick and easy access at time of distress. It’s aimed at instilling confidence among the women riders and empowers them to take charge of their own safety.
To create awareness about this, CEAT has also launched its digital campaign that portrays the current state of women safety and how the CEAT Safety Grip can help in such situations. The video passes a very clear message of taking a stand and improving safety for women in the country.

On the release of the digital campaign, Mr. Nitish Bajaj, Sr. VP – Marketing, CEAT Ltd. said,

CEAT has always stood for safety and, we have developed this concept to empower women riders while making them feel safer and more confident on Indian roads. CEAT Safety Grip is a step towards creating a safer environment for women, and going forward we wish to come up with many such initiatives in an effort to make mobility safer and smarter for every Indian.

CEAT Safety Grip is available for purchase on Amazon at an introductory price of Rs. 499/-. Currently the CEAT Safety Grip is compatible with Honda Activa Scooters, . CEAT has also filed a design application patent for this innovative product and the company looks forward to customize the design for other popular scooters in the near future basis market response.
