French car manufacturer Citroen has Today revealed images of new SUV Coupe called Citroen Basalt Vision which is specifically made for India. The all new Citroen Basalt Vision SUV Coupe will be sold in India and South America in the year 2024 itself. For India market, the Basalt SUV Coupe is expected to be launched in the second half of 2024. The new Basalt from Citroen is unique by its character combining the fluidity and dynamism of a Coupe and robustness of SUV.

The introduction of Basalt SUV Coupe into Citroen India’s portfolio shall further fuel Citroen’s international growth alongside C3 and C3 Aircross.

A fresh Silhouette concept
The high ground clearance of Basalt enables one to easily move in and out of the car – the additional space is a bonus and may impress the Indian motorists well. There are protective shield in the front and rear , giving the car a very safe and reliable outlook and assures of driving in difficult conditions.
SUV + Coupe
Basalt’s design is a combination of SUV and coupe . The Basalt tries to be aspirational and robust like an SUV. The revealed images of new Citroen Basalt shows off the upright stance, bold looks and high ground clearance. Other visual features of new Citroen Basalt include high bonnet, upright front end, widened wings, wheel arches with signature geometric shapes. The car of course borrows coupe elements like rear trailing edge making it look dynamic and fluid. Overall it has a sleek silhouette offering aerodynamic efficiency and tries to be racy and elegant.
C-Cubed Program – placed alongside C3 and C3 Aircross
Citroen reveals that all 3 cars – Basalt, C3 and C3 Aircross are based on a common smart car platform which comes under the C-cubed program.
In a press statement, Citroen has revealed that Basalt is a muscular SUV and is targeted towards the young dynamic professionals and families who priorities comfort and looks.
