Luxury motorcycle brand, Ducati today announced the launch of two all-new Scramblers in India, the all-new Scrambler Nightshift which is priced at INR 9,80,000 Lacs and the new BS6 Desert Sled, priced at INR 10,89,000 Lacs respectively (Ex-Showroom Pan India). Born out of the spirit of motor grandeur and the sense of freedom – the new Scrambler Nightshift and Desert Sled further enrich and strengthen the ever-grand Scrambler ‘Land of Joy’.

Created for the ones who are a cut above the rest when it comes to passion for riding, these two models are the latest offerings from a Ducati family which has had a rich and a glorious past. Just like every other Ducati Scrambler bike, the Nightshift and the Desert Sled are designed for boundless freedom of expression.

Offering a unique riding experience, equipped with a Café Racer style flat seat and a wide handlebar, the new Scrambler Nightshift is an ideal choice for those night riders who want to ride a motorcycle full of character and effortless power. The 803 CC L-twin two-valve engine with generous torque available right from the bottom of the rev range, makes the Nightshift the perfect companion for late night rides.

Whereas the all-new Desert Sled is for those adventure seekers who want to explore the roads less travelled. Equipped with the same engine as that of the Nightshift, the Desert Sled brings the grand version of Scrambler to life and offers a unique mix of off-road spirit and lifestyle values. The Desert Sled then, is about kicking up the dirt in style and is a dream to watch in action.

Mr. Bipul Chandra, Managing Director of Ducati India said, “

Scrambler is one of the most bohemian and maverick offerings from the house of Ducati. Over the years, our Scrambler customers have taken the road less travelled and have achieved things which is a matter of great pride, not only them, but for us as well. To introduce more such possibilities, we are delighted to introduce the all-new Scrambler Nightshift and the Desert Sled. The sophisticated design shows the extensive research which has gone behind the two bikes and we surely believe that all riders, new and experienced, will be able to use these motorcycles to challenge their riding skills and fulfill their dreams of owning a Scrambler.”

The Ducati Scrambler Nightshift is a model designed to meet the needs of all those looking for an essential and stylish bike at the same time. The Ducati Scrambler Nightshift stands out for its “Aviator Grey” colour, combined with a steel Trellis frame. Equipped with a new Café Racer-style flat seat, which is comfortable both for rider and passenger, the Nightshift does not compromise a bit on comfort, while assuring extremely powerful performance. The Nightshift is equipped with the iconic Pirelli MT60 tires coupled with spoked wheels, which gives it a sleek yet dynamic look. The side number plates, and the premium LED lighting enhances the overall aesthetic of the Nightshift and takes it to the next level.

The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled comes directly from the deserts and mountains of California and offers a fresh take on the off-road bikes of the ’60s and ’70s that made American history. With a similar engine compared to the Nightshift, the Desert Sled packs as much power. Along with the golden rims and the classic black frame, the all-new “Sparking Blue” livery enriched with red and white details on the tank and mudguards pays a humble tribute to the Enduro bikes of the 80s and enhances the distinctly off-road character of the bike. The high front mudguard and extended rear fender makes it the perfect outdoor partner. The high plate holder, variable cross-section handlebar and adjustable Kayaba Suspensions with 46mm fork and 200mm excursion, makes ‘off-roading’ a ‘seamless’ experience. The Desert Sled is also equipped with Pirelli SCORPION™ RALLY STR 120/70 R19 tyre at the front and Pirelli SCORPION™ RALLY STR 170/60 R17 tyre at the rear, for the right balance between off-road and Enduro street performance.

Both Nightshift and Desert Sled come equipped with the 803 CC L-twin two-valve engine which puts outs a maximum power of 73 HP at 8,250 rpm and a maximum torque of 66.2 Nm at 5,750 rpm and is tuned for a smooth delivery of power across the rev range. Both the Scramblers are equipped with a 6-speed gearbox and the clutch is a wet multi plate type with hydraulic control and a servo-assisted slipper function that limits rear wheel destabilization during down-shifts.

Further strengthening its Customer Care Program, Ducati India is looking forward to welcoming customers again at the dealerships and will continue to ensure that all safety protocols related to COVID are met at its stores. Bookings for the new Scramblers are now open across all Ducati dealerships in Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kochi, Kolkata and Chennai and deliveries will begin immediately.
