Honda Accord Hybrid Bookings Open at INR 51,000
Green cars in India are emerging. The very well known electric car models are Mahindra e2o, e-Veritos, BMW i8. Toyota Camry Hybrid too has joined the bandwagon and now Honda has surprised the industry by announcing the launch of Honda Accord Hybrid.
The Toyota Camry Hybrid has been priced at INR 30.9 lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi), Camry Hybrid also gets benefits from the Government’s FAME scheme (Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of hybrid and Electric vehicles in India), that provides an incentive of INR 70,000.
Honda is now pushing their all new Accord Hybrid in order to directly take on its rival Toyota Camry Hybrid. The all new Honda Accord Hybrid will be launched on October 25, 2016. The hybrid Honda Accord is going to be powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine that comes with twin electric motors, the car is also capable of combined output of 196 hp and 300 Nm of torque.
When the electric boost is absent, the petrol engine alone churns out a maximum power of 141PS. The fuel efficiency of Honda Accord Hybrid is expected in the range of 20 Kmpl. The all Toyota Camry delivers a mileage of 16.03 and 19.16 kilometres per litre on city roads and highways, respectively.
New Honda Accord Hybrid Exterior
Talking about the exteriors of the car, the new Honda Accord Hybrid is also likely to be launched with some significant changes on the exterior. The changes include new design bumpers and headlights that comes with chrome accents on the front grille of the car. The Honda Accord cars in the International marker comes equipped with 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Honda Accord’s hybrid engine makes it eligible for availing incentives under the FAME scheme. Honda has also not revealed any information on the prices yet, The car’s estimated price is expected to be in the range of Rs 25-30 lakh.
Bookings for new Honda Accord Hybrid have already started at an amount of INR 51,000.
