GST 2.0 and Festive Momentum
The sales performance showed a strong pick-up in both wholesales and deliveries starting from the Navratras festival. This accelerated purchasing activity is attributed to customers aligning their purchases following the recent GST-related announcements.
Mr. Kunal Behl, Vice President, Marketing & Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd., commented on the sales performance, stating that the GST 2.0 has come as a boon for the customers and the auto industry. He noted that cars are now much more affordable with reduced prices and additional ongoing offers.
The company’s outlook remains highly optimistic: “We expect this strong momentum to carry forward into October with heightened customer sentiment during Dhanteras & Diwali”. This indicates Honda’s expectation that the price reductions and festive spirit will continue to drive sales in the crucial holiday months.
