The Isuzu MU-X now shares the longest warranty in its segment after the launch of Isuzu’s 5ecure plan which is a five-year periodic maintenance plan in addition to the extended warranty. This initiative from Isuzu will make the SUV from appealing to the buyers . The Isuzu 5ecure plan will be available to new customers (who have bought car post January 2018) at no extra cost , while existing MU-X customer can avail this offer for an additional price till June 30, 2018.
Highlights of 5ecure plan
- Isuzu MU-X customers will now be offered a five-year/1,50,000km comprehensive warranty, which is a increases from the previous standard three-year/100,000km warranty . Established rivals such as the Toyota Fortuner and the Ford Endeavour offers a three-year/1,00,000km warranty and two-year/1,00,000km warranty respectively .
- Periodic maintenance – which includes costs of spare parts such as air filter, oil filter, lubricants and labour will be covered under the 5ecure plan . However, replacement of parts and components damaged due to wear and tear or accidental damages aren’t covered . Thus making ownership costs of the Isuzu MU-X significantly low .
The Isuzu MU-X SUV was launched in India in 2017 at a price tag of Rs 24.73 lakh (ex-showroom). Isuzu offers two variants for the MU-X SUV – 4×2 and 4×4. This is a flagship model of Isuzu for India and is powered by a 3.0-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine which is capable of putting out 177hp and 380Nm of torque which is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. Isuzu MU-X features a shift-on-the-fly operation for the four-wheel-drive system, with the option of two-high, four-high and four-low ranges in tricky off road scenarios . The MU-X also comes with uphill and downhill assist control.
