Kia India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kia Corporation, registered healthy sales of 16,111 units in April 2021. Continuing its positive momentum, the company remains among the top 5 most sold car brands in India during last month. Kia India also emerges as the fastest brand to cross the 2,50,000 sales milestone. The brand achieved this feat only in 22 months from the start of its sales operation, that too with only three products in the market. While the Seltos again becomes the highest contributor with 8,086 unit sales, Sonet and Carnival recorded 7,724 and 301 dispatches.
Since the start of its sales operation, Kia India has sold more than 2,56,000 vehicles in India. Notably, Kia India has emerged as the connected SUV leader in the country with nearly 1,50,000 Kia connected cars on road, contributing to almost 58% of the total sales. Kia’s flag bearer vehicle in India, Seltos, has contributed most to the total tally with close to 180,000 sales followed by Sonet with over 70,000 sales in just 8 months.
