Kia India Achieves Record February Sales with 10.3% Year-on-Year Growth
Kia India, a prominent mass-premium automaker in the country, has reported its highest-ever February wholesales since its inception. The company recorded sales of 27,610 units in February 2026, representing a 10.3% year-on-year growth compared to the 25,026 units sold in February 2025. This achievement marks the second consecutive month of double-digit growth for the brand in 2026.
Model Performance and Market Demand
The sales surge was driven by a strong market response across Kia’s diverse product portfolio. The All-New Kia Seltos maintained its momentum, supported by its design and integrated technology. Meanwhile, the Kia Sonet continued to lead in the compact SUV segment.

Further contributing to the record volumes were the Carens Clavis and the Clavis EV, both of which have seen steady demand from consumers looking for versatile family vehicles and electric mobility solutions. At the premium end of the market, the Kia Carnival reinforced the brand’s presence within the luxury MPV segment.
Strategic Vision and Operational Reach
Kia India attributes its continued success to a product strategy that focuses on advanced safety technologies, such as ADAS, and connected car features. Currently, there are over 4.95 lakh connected Kia cars on Indian roads.
Mr. Atul Sood, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Kia India, commented on the performance:
“Our record February performance is a testimony to the growing trust of Indian consumers in Kia brand. The strong response across our portfolio — including All-New Seltos, Sonet and the Clavis line-up highlights our well-thought-out strategy and the agility to adapt with the evolving customer aspirations, including the shift towards electric mobility. We are not merely responding to market trends, but shaping them through innovation, premium design, advanced technology, and a relentless focus on delivering customer value.”
To support this growth, Kia has expanded its physical footprint to 849 touchpoints across 382 cities. This network includes 122 Certified Pre-Owned outlets, which aim to provide transparency and security for customers during the vehicle exchange and purchase process.
