Iconic Design, Reimagined for the Electric Age
The new Kinetic DX retains several design cues from the classic scooter, visually adopting the signature boxy silhouette of the original. However, it modernizes the design with full-LED lighting, chunky 12-inch wheels , a flyscreen with an illuminated Kinetic logo , and some metal body panels. It also features a modern 8.8-inch color LCD display that visually mimics the layout of the original DX’s instrument cluster. A red ‘READY’ starter button is a direct nod to the original Kinetic Honda’s switchgear layout. The scooter has a 704mm-long seat , 165mm of ground clearance , and a 1314mm wheelbase.
Powering the DX: Advanced LFP Battery & Motor
Power comes from a hub-mounted BLDC motor , fed by a 2.5 kWh installed capacity (2.6 kWh maximum capacity) LFP battery , which is mounted in the floorboard. Kinetic emphasizes that its LFP batteries are long-lasting, safer, superior, and boast better thermal stability, making them ideal for Indian conditions. They are designed by RANGE-X specifically for Kinetic DX and offer a 60 Volt efficiency with IP67 water and dust protection.
- Kinetic DX Variant: Offers a claimed range of 102km and a top speed of 80kph. It has a peak power of 4.7kW.
- Kinetic DX+ Variant: Provides a claimed range of 116km and a top speed of 90kph. It features a peak power of 4.8kW.
Kinetic claims the range can be further extended to 150km if ridden under 30kph with cruise lock on flat roads. Charging times are rated at 0–50% in 2 hours, 0–80% in 3 hours, and a full charge in 4 hours. An integrated charger with a 15A plug is stored inside the glovebox via the brand’s Easy Charge system , alongside an off-board charger.
