Mahindra has officially rolled out the updated price list for its popular lifestyle SUV, the Mahindra Thar, confirming recent announcements regarding price adjustments across its SUV lineup in India. Effective from 6 April, the company has implemented a price hike of up to 2.5 per cent. This translates to an overall increase where the Mahindra Thar has become dearer by up to Rs. 43,500.

Below is a comprehensive breakdown of the revised pricing structure, variant specifics, and regional on-road costs.


Variant-Wise Price Increase Breakdown

The price revision affects almost the entire Mahindra Thar range, with varying increments depending on the specific variant, transmission, and powertrain.

  • LXT 4WD 2.2 Diesel AT: This variant sees the highest increase, with prices going up by Rs. 43,500.
  • LXT 4WD 2.0 Petrol AT: Prices for this automatic petrol variant have gone up by Rs. 41,500.
  • LXT 4WD 2.2 Diesel MT: Buyers looking at the manual diesel option will now pay a premium of Rs. 39,500 over the outgoing price list.
  • LXT 4WD 2.0 Petrol MT: This manual petrol variant commands a premium of Rs. 37,500 over the outgoing price list.
  • LXT 2WD 1.5 Diesel MT & LXT 4WD 2.0 Petrol MT: These variants have witnessed a uniform increase of Rs. 30,500 each.

The Exception: Base Variant Pricing

Despite the broader price increases across the lineup, there is a revision for all but one variant. The prices of the entry-level AXT 2WD 1.5 Diesel MT remain unchanged. Therefore, the Thar range continues to start at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 9.99 lakh.
