Mahindra TUV300 to be launched on September 10

Popular Indian car maker, Mahindra had first unveiled the sketches of their upcoming SUV named TUV 300 compact SUV on 30th July and now the company has confirmed that the TUV300 would be made available on September 10th.

Mahindra has also revealed the first sketches of the car which is codenamed as U301, but it was spotted on test several times. An unmasked base variant of the TUV300 was spotted revealing a few specifications of the car. Mahindra TUV 3OO is a sub 4-metre car that borrows cues from Mahindra Bolero and the design is essentially a modernised version of Mahindra Bolero’s front.

The car would sport a new pattern for the alloy wheels, square wheels arches and the short overhangs. You could also notice that the straight roofline is in line with the squarish shape of the car and comes equipped with boot-mounted spare wheel.

Also, there are no official details about the equipment list present in the cabin of TUV 300 yet. However, one can expect all standard features and accessories as that of Mahindra Scorpio and the refreshed XUV 500. Despite being a compact SUV, Mahindra has still managed to put in 2 jump seats at the back like they did in Mahindra Quanto, making it a seven seater.

Depending on the variant chosen, the engines of the TUV300 would also vary. The engines of TUV300 should be one among the series of advanced mHawk 80 mills which are developed in-house by the carmaker.

Mahindra wants to bring the TUV 300 to the Indian car market before the festival season starts in India. Revealing a new SUV like TUV300 would also provide prospective car buyers a new option to choose from the available cars. Mahindra TUV300 would be slotted below Mahindra Bolero, which is one of the best-sellers for Mahindra. The TUV 300 is expected to replicate the same success and would take on likings of rivals like Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster as well as the Hyundai Creta.
