Baleno’s sports a nice fluid flow design which emphasizes its exterior. Front end gets a nice looking V-shaped chrome grille which seem to be continued into the headlight assembly on both sides. The headlamps look like they are borrowed from the Swift and the front, sure does look similar to the design of the swift. Come to the side and you find a tapered roofline and chrome plated handle holders. Baleno also gets body colored rear spoiler. The rear end looks quite dull but highlights the Suzuki logo and gets a chrome plated rear windshield bottom outline. Overall the car looks good but Maruti could’ve done better.
Hyundai i20 Elite is a striking car with front DRLs, honeycomb air dam and neatly housed fog lamps in the front bumper of the car. The car is best to look at from the side angle which has lines emerging above the wheel arches flowing all the way to the end of the car and making contact with the tail lamps. Rear end gets a boxy section with tapered tail lamps.

Baleno gets an all new interior which is different from the Swift. It gets an infotainment system placed in the center of the dash with AC vents on either sides. Baleno gets silver finished AC vents covering and a chrome outlined gear lever knob. The steering wheel though has been borrowed from the Swift. The top-end model gets touch-screen music system with navigation, rear parking camera and sensors, climate control, engine start-stop button and a detailed instrument cluster with a TFT screen.
While the i20 gets a dual tone interior which add to the rich look of this premium hatchback. It gets an infotainment system which sits in the center of the dash. It gets new additions like the steering adaptive parking assist, lane change indicator, in-built service reminder and rear air-con vents. Height adjustable driver’s seat, 2-Din audio system with 1 GB internal memory, climate control system, cooled glovebox, cruise control, reverse parking assist, gear shift indicator and electro-chromatic rear view mirror are a part of the package.

Baleno comes in both petrol and diesel variants. The Petrol car gets a 1.2 litre, 4 cylinder engine giving 85 bhp of power 115 NM of torque.Diesel comes with a 1.25 litre engine making 75 bhp and a good 190 Nm of torque.
i20 Elite also comes with a petrol and a diesel variant where the petrol comes with a similar, 1.2 litre engine making 83 bhp which is two bhp lesser than the Baleno whereas the diesel variant getting the 1.4 litre engine makes 89 bhp and 224 Nm of torque.
