Maruti Suzuki Achieves Global Milestone: Record 3.95 Lakh Exports in 2025

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has solidified its dominance in international markets, exporting a record-breaking 395,000 vehicles in the 2025 calendar year. This performance marks a 21% increase over the previous year and represents the highest annual shipment in the company’s history.

Sustained Leadership and Global Reach

For the fifth consecutive year, Maruti Suzuki has retained its position as India’s leading passenger vehicle exporter. The company’s extensive export operations now span more than 100 countries, where it currently ships 18 different models.

Key growth drivers in 2025 included:

  • Record Export Volume: Total annual shipments reached 395,000 units, significantly outpacing previous records.
  • Market Presence: Strong international customer confidence and India’s robust manufacturing capabilities were cited as primary factors for this success.
  • Strategic Growth: The 21% growth serves as a major contribution to national export objectives amidst a period of global trade uncertainty.

The e VITARA and Re-entry into Europe

A pivotal development for 2025 was the commencement of exports for the e VITARA, Suzuki’s first battery electric vehicle. Production began at the Hansalpur facility in Gujarat in August 2025, with the first batch flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Since production began, the company has shipped over 13,000 electric units to 29 different countries. This move is especially significant as it marks Maruti Suzuki’s return to the European market, which received the majority of these early deliveries.
