Maruti Suzuki India Limited’s premium Strong Hybrid UV, the INVICTO, has been awarded the highest 5-star safety rating in the Bharat New Car Assessment Program (Bharat NCAP). This achievement highlights the company’s commitment to prioritizing customer safety through a comprehensive range of active and passive safety features integrated under the NEXA Safety Shield. The INVICTO’s design, which features robust structural stability and advanced features, played a crucial role in its performance.

Maruti Invicto 5-Star Bharat NCAP Safety Rating

Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi, MD & CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, expressed pride in the milestone, stating that safety has always been a core part of the company’s product philosophy. He praised Bharat NCAP for introducing world-class testing protocols that enable customers to make well-informed purchasing decisions.

The INVICTO’s safety features, which are available on the tested variant, include:

  • 6 airbags (Front, Side, and Curtain)
  • Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Hill Hold Assist
  • 3-point ELR seatbelts
  • A 360-degree view camera with dynamic guidelines
  • Suzuki Connect with advanced eCall functionality
  • Front and Rear Disc Brakes
  • Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
  • Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) with Auto Hold
  • ABS with EBD
  • Isofix child seat anchorage
  • Frontal offset impact safety, Side impact safety, and Pedestrian impact safety

Maruti Invicto 5-Star Rating

In the Bharat NCAP assessment, the INVICTO scored 30.43 out of a maximum of 32 for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP) and 45.00 out of 49 for Child Occupant Protection (COP).

Maruti Suzuki has made significant strides in standardizing safety features across its lineup. The company now offers 6 airbags as a standard feature in 15 models and across 157 variants. This includes entry-segment models like the Alto K10 and Celerio, hatchbacks such as the Wagon R and Swift, and SUVs like the Brezza, Grand Vitara, and Jimny.
