Following a number of launches, Mercedes India has decided to launch their performance sedan, C43 in India on 14th December, 2016. Mercedes already having launched 12 cars this year, want to add this to their AMG portfolio in India. The C43 will sit in as an entry level sedan under the C-Class AMG badge, with its elder sibling, C63 topping the range.
The C43 will be powered by a 3.0 litre twin-turbo v6 shared with the AMG SLC 43, giving out 370 hp and 570 Nm of torque. The C43 will not get the 7-speed MCT transmission as seen on the C63 but will get a conventional 9-speed automatic gearbox from Mercedes. 4Matic all wheel drive system comes as standard and the power delivery is distributed 69 percent to the rear and 31 percent to the front for improved traction.
Mercedes AMG C43 gets diamond radiator grille, chrome plated twin exhaust pipes and multi-function three spoke sports steering wheel. The C43 also gets AMG-developed front and rear axles, sports exhaust system, larger and perforated disc brakes. AMG upholstery, 13.97 cm multi-function display and sports seats will be seen on the C43.
Mercedes gets the C43 to India for AMG enthusiasts to experience the brand at a more affordable price. More details after its launch on 14th December.
