Nissan India Announces Price Hike for Magnite SUV from January 2026

Nissan India is set to begin 2026 with a strategic price adjustment across its current lineup. Starting January 1, 2026, prices for the Nissan Magnite will increase by up to 3 percent. While Nissan has not officially detailed the specific reasons for this hike, the move aligns with a broader industry trend attributed to rising input costs, increased logistics expenses, and currency fluctuations.

Nissan Magnite: New Estimated Pricing

The current ex-showroom price for the Nissan Magnite ranges from Rs 5.62 lakh to Rs 10.76 lakh. Following the 3 percent increase, buyers can expect the price to rise by approximately Rs 17,000 to Rs 32,000 depending on the variant.

Variant LevelCurrent Price (Ex-Showroom)Estimated Price from Jan 2026
Base VariantRs 5.62 Lakh~ Rs 5.79 Lakh
Top-Spec VariantRs 10.76 Lakh~ Rs 11.08 Lakh

This adjustment follows a period of increased affordability earlier in 2025, where GST revisions led to price cuts ranging between Rs 52,000 and Rs 1 lakh.

Nissan’s Strategic Resurgence: Three New Models by 2027

While the immediate news focuses on the price hike, Nissan is preparing for a major product offensive in India. The brand has confirmed the launch of three all-new models by 2027 to expand its footprint beyond the Magnite.

1. Nissan Gravite (Compact MPV)

The Nissan Gravite will be the first of the new arrivals, scheduled to reach showrooms by March 2026.

  • Platform: Based on the Renault Triber (CMF-A+ architecture).
  • Design: Features a redesigned exterior and a unique interior color scheme to distinguish it from its alliance sibling.
  • Powertrain: Likely powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine with both manual and AMT gearbox options.

2. Nissan Tekton (Mid-Size SUV)

In February 2026, Nissan will showcase the Tekton, a mid-size SUV aimed at one of India’s most competitive segments.

  • Platform: Shares the CMF-B platform with the upcoming Renault Duster.
  • Target Rivals: Positioned to compete with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
  • Features: Expected to offer hybrid powertrain options and a premium interior design inspired by the flagship Nissan Patrol.

3. Seven-Seater C-SUV

Rounding out the strategy, a new seven-seater SUV is slated for a 2027 launch. While it will also utilize the CMF-B platform, Nissan has clarified that it will be a distinct product rather than just an extended version of the Tekton.
